Home Baking

We specialise in great dried fruit for baking, which we pack ourselves - the best raisins, currants and sultanas, mixed peel, cherries - taste the difference in your cake. We also have billingtons sugars, pure vanilla essence, rose water, pure maple syrup and more.

Bread and Pastries

Fredrick, the French Baker from whom we source our fresh bread and Danish pastries, delivers fresh every day. ½ baguettes, baguette, bran bread, cereals bread, smoked ham and cheese bread, olive rolls and more. Croissants, pain au chocolate, Danish, brioche - all great. Of course we always stock the famous McCambridge's Brown Bread, much loved for many years. Our cousin Michael McCambridge produces this in Dublin. Goya's (Emer Murrays' famous cake shop) supply us with fresh cakes and pastries. Lemon Meringue, caramel squares, scones, bakewell tart, apple Normandy, chocolate cake and more. We have great cupcakes, including a range of gluten free cupcakes, from Galway Cupcakery.

Cheese

Lots of prepacked and freshly cut cheese (goes beautifully with our wine!) Look out for the best of Irish - Durrus, Gubeen, Mossfield, Carrigbyrne, Cashel Blue, Baylough and more. Cows cheese, sheeps cheese, goats cheese, international cheese, Feta, Halloumi, Mascarpone, Buffalo Mozzarella, Parmesan all available in store.

Dairy Cabinet

Beside cheese, we have lots more. Glenilen wonderful country butter, Glenisk probiotic yogurts, Glenilen farm yogurt, raspberry mousse, cheesecake and clotted Cream, Killowen bio fruit yogurts from Wexford and more..

Chilled Fresh Food

All kinds... Just Food organic soups, salads, hummus pesto and chicken liver pate, Burren Smokehouse and Kinvara Organic Smoked salmon, Lasagne and pastas from Magnetti, dinners from Goyas, Cottage pie fresh from MPG, parma ham, chirizo, blacky ham, air dried meat from McGeoughs in Oughterard, curry from Bombay Pantry, duck eggs and more..

Fruit and Vegetables

Fresh range every day - including in June our famous McCambridge's Strawberries, grown by Patricia McCambridge in Furbo, Co Galway. Beechlawn Organic Farm in Ballinasloe provide us with seasonal organic vegetables.

Jams and Preserves

Another of our specialities - great range from Follain, Kylemore Abbey, Baker Sisters, Cottage Delight, Tiptree, G's, Mileeven and more. Lots of honey including Manuka, Healys Irish honey, and sometimes fresh Irish Comb Honey!

Fresh Meat

We are famous for our Irish Bacon and rashers - the finest Irish ham fillets and bacon cuts, and rashers - plain, smoked and streaky - you won't find better. Organic chickens, pigeon and Toulouse sausages are also available. Marks Meats have a great range of pre-packed beef and lamb.  Friendly Farmer (very free range) from Athenry, Co Galway brings us really tasty chickens and sausages - available in the freezer.

Cold Meats

Try our own baked and boiled cold ham cuts - we prepare from scratch. Lots of Salamis and yummy Patchwork pates and more......

Olive Bar

Serve yourself from wooden barrels - all kinds of olives, roasted vegetables, sundried tomatoes, feta cheese salad, pestos, hummus and more

Sauces, Relishes, Chutneys, Herbs and Spices

All kinds - Irish, English, Italian, Spanish, Mexican, Indian. Look out for Janets Country Fayre from Wicklow, , Builin Blasta from Spiddal, Follain from Cork, Baker Sisters, Cottage Delight, Epicure, Maille Mustards, Organic Herb and Oil company, Thai Gold, Green Saffron, Sacla and more.

Spirits Section

Irish Whiskey's our speciality - Connemara 12 yr old, Redbreast 12 yr old, Powers, Paddy, Jameson 12yr and 18yr old, Bushmills malt 10, 16 and 21 years old, Midleton Very Rare (extra special Irish Whiskey), Green Spot pot still, Greenore Single Grain. Lots of Scottish malts too - Glenmorangie, Oban, Glenkinchie, Laphroag, Glenfiddich, Pigs Nose and lots more. Range of quality vodka, gin, brandy rum and liqueurs - we stock the best.

Wines

From around the world including a range from France, Chile, Italy and Spain exclusive to McCambridge (many available to buy from the website wine shop). For something different try our Irish Made Wines of the Glen range.

World of Beers

Great range of unusual beers. Examples - From Ireland OHara's and Ola Dubh, From England, Wells Beers, Young's, St Peters Organic, Hampletons Gluten Free and Aspels organic Cider. Lots more from Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, Japan, China and elsewhere.

Bottled Drinks

All the usual and some unusual. Fentimans botanically brewed, including Victorian lemonade and ginger beer. Try Belvoir fruit cordials and drinks, Feelgood Juice Drinks, Lorina French Lemonades, Thorncroft cordial, Innocent smoothies and more

Coffee and Tea

Big range of both. Coffee from Ponaire (we use this in our coffee bar) Clive McCabe, Illy, Taylors, Café Cuba and more. Teas from Solaris, Art of Tea, Suki, Barrys, Campbells, Clive McCabe (all Irish), and Jacksons, Twinings and Duchy from the UK - taste the difference with REAL tea.

Biscuits

Lots of Irish and European high quality biscuits made with the best of ingredients - Ditty's from Northern Ireland, Border Biscuits and Walkers from Scotland, Seymours from West Cork, Wicklow Waffles, Duchy Organics from England and Bahlsen from Germany to name but a few. Savoury biscuits to have with our cheeses, McKenzies, Baking Emporioum, Cottage Delight, Ditty's oatcakes and lots more

Chocolate and Confectionary

Coffee Bar

New in the shop since June 09 our coffee bar is thriving. Perfectly made latte, cappuccino, con panna, macchiato, Americano, espresso. Hot chocolate made from chocolate chips (no powder in sight!). Tea made from Campbells finest loose tea. Herbal teas from Solaris. Milkshakes made with Murphy's Icecream.

Ice-cream

We serve Murphy's Ice-cream, the famous ice-cream from Dingle. We exclusively serve Murphy's in the West of Ireland. Wonderful flavours like raspberry sorbet, Irish Cream, brown bread(its great!)

Sandwich Bar

The best in the west - we use the best of ingredients, no plastic chicken or ham for us. We cook our own chickens fresh every morning, and bake our own hams, and roast our beef. Salads are freshly made on the premises every morning. Our bread is sourced locally from a French baker, who uses the finest ingredients - taste the difference.... Our fresh soup, made every morning, is famous.
